How it works
How to Rent a Car at Trieste Train Station?
1. Find & book and wait for confirmation
Choose a car, specify the dates and desired options (pick up and return location, baby seat etc) and send us an order.
2. Making an advance payment
To confirm your reservation, pay a 30% advance within 5 days of booking. The remaining rental amount can be paid when you collect the car, in cash or by card.
3.Arrive at the agreed time
At the appointed time, we will meet you at the parking lot to the left of the station. The employee will be holding a “RENTACARSLO” sign.
4. Pay the remaining balance
The remaining 70% is paid when you collect the vehicle, using any payment method that is convenient for you. A credit card is not required.
5. Leave a refundable security deposit
€300 (or €800 for drivers under 21 or with less than 2 years’ driving experience) must be left in cash. It will be returned to you immediately when you return the vehicle, provided it is returned clean, on time and in accordance with the rental terms.
6. Pick up a car in just 5–10 minutes

Payments, Deposits & Insurance
A credit card is not required.
Yes, you can.
You can pay in any way that is convenient for you. We accept:
- all bank cards (credit, debit and virtual), including cards without the cardholder’s name or cards issued in someone else’s name;
- payment via secure payment link;
- bank transfer using a QR code (the invoice can be issued to either an individual or a company);
- contactless NFC payments (Tap to Pay);
- cash.
The mileage limit is 500 km per day. If you exceed this limit, an additional charge of €0.10 per kilometer will apply.
The rental price includes standard third-party liability insurance and a Slovenian motorway vignette.
Third-Party Liability Insurance is mandatory and allows the vehicle to be legally driven on public roads. It covers damage or injury caused to third parties but does not cover damage to the rented vehicle.
For rentals longer than 7 days, you may purchase Casco Insurance (Collision Damage Coverage).
The cost ranges from €12 to €20 per day, depending on the vehicle. The insurance deductible (excess) ranges from €350 to €550.
Casco Insurance covers damage to the rented vehicle. In the event of an accident, the renter is responsible only for the deductible amount, while any repair costs exceeding the deductible are covered by the insurance company.
You can also add optional Vehicle Theft Insurance, which is valid provided that the following conditions are met:
- the vehicle must be locked and parked in a secure or designated parking area;
- the keys and vehicle documents must not be left inside the vehicle;
- in the event of theft, all sets of keys and the vehicle documents must be handed over to the Lessor;
- the theft must be reported immediately to both the police and the Lessor.
Failure to comply with any of the above conditions will render the additional theft protection invalid, and the Renter shall be fully liable for any loss or damage resulting from the theft of the vehicle.
You may also purchase Windscreen & Mirror Protection.
This optional cover protects against any damage to the windscreen, windows, and exterior mirrors of the rented vehicle with no deductible and no coverage limit.
This protection is charged once per rental and remains valid for the entire rental period.

Booking & Requirements
Yes, the second driver fits in free of charge by prior agreement!
No. A valid national driving licence is sufficient to rent a car from RENTACARSLO.
We’ll wait for you free of charge for up to one hour. If you’re more than an hour late, a waiting fee of €10 per hour will apply. Please let us know as soon as possible if you’re running late by message, email or phone.
Yes, you can. However, attention! If you book a car less than 24 hours before pickup, wait for a written confirmation from our representative. Without it, the order is not considered accepted
Yes. We rent cars to drivers aged 18 and over. Drivers under the age of 21 or with less than 2 years of driving experience are required to purchase additional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance and leave a €800 deposit plus the insurance excess (deductible). There is no upper age limit for renting a car.
Yes, no problem. We can meet you. However, meeting or returning the car at Trieste Airport during non-business hours, i.e., from 6 PM to 9 AM, the following additional charges will apply: at 8:00 – €20, at 19:00 – €15, from 20:00 to 21:00 – €45, from 22:00 to 7:00 – €60. This surcharge is automatically calculated on the website when pricing your rental.
